About
Madeleine Barmark is the founder and guide behind Alska, bringing over a decade of experience in yoga, mindfulness, and movement practices for individuals and organizations. Her work combines trauma-informed approaches, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation to support resilience, recovery, and holistic well-being.
Born in Örebro, Sweden, Madeleine’s journey in movement and mindfulness began early and has been shaped by extensive training across yoga, meditation, and therapeutic practices. She integrates insights from cognitive psychology, Buddhist psychology, and neuroscience-informed mindfulness to create safe, inclusive, and transformative experiences.
Madeleine has worked with diverse populations in clinical, recovery, educational, and fitness settings, as well as private clients and corporate programs. Her teaching emphasizes practical, sustainable transformation, helping participants cultivate self-awareness, emotional regulation, and meaningful connection in both personal and professional life.
Through her guidance, individuals and teams learn to embody resilience, self-compassion, and intentional action—creating lasting positive impact that ripples outward into relationships, communities, and workplaces.
